Wrexham secured their first victory of the Championship season with a commanding 3-0 triumph over Millwall, significantly enhancing their prospects of mounting a promotion bid to the Premier League. After starting the season with draws against Cardiff and Watford and then facing a home loss to Birmingham, Wrexham delivered an emphatic response in their trip to south London.

The breakthrough for Wrexham came in the first half when Zak Sturge inadvertently deflected Issa Kaboré’s cross into Millwall’s net, giving the visitors the lead. Shortly after the interval, Kieffer Moore extended Wrexham’s advantage, unleashing a powerful strike from approximately 20 yards. Jacques Ekomié sealed the victory with a close-range finish, ensuring a convincing win for the team.

This defeat marked another setback for Millwall, who have now let in eight goals across their last two matches following a strong start to the season with two clean-sheet victories. The situation worsened for Millwall with injuries to key players, striker Josh Coburn and midfielder Casper De Norre, adding to their challenges.

In other matches, QPR continued their impressive start to the campaign with a 2-1 win over Cardiff at Loftus Road. Rumarn Burrell emerged as the hero for QPR, scoring both goals, while Perry Ng managed to net a consolation goal for Cardiff. This victory propelled QPR to accumulate 10 points from their four matches.

Elsewhere, Burnley faced a 1-1 stalemate against Middlesbrough at Turf Moor. Middlesbrough took the lead in the first half through Aidan Morris, but Burnley responded with an equalizer from Ugo Raghouber shortly after the break. Meanwhile, Charlton maintained their unbeaten run by drawing 1-1 with West Brom. Callum Styles initially put West Brom in front, but Tyreece Campbell’s equalizer ensured a share of the spoils.
